Growth over the Years

2020-2022

Took us almost two years to completely install and run the new coating & laminating unit for manufacturing of Reinforced Gummed Paper Tapes, battling delays in delivery, commissioning, etc due to multiple waves of COVID. But now we are ready with the product which is MADE IN INDIA, FOR THE WORLD.

1986

Alvi Packaging Industries Established

Alvi Packaging Industries was established to manufacture Gummed Paper Tapes for sealing Paper Corrugated Boxes with one coating line of 760mm width.

1988

Packaging tape

Packaging tape for sealing tubelights, bulbs sleeve developed for
high speed packaging machines.

1990-91

Coating line

Coating line renovated and updated by installing VFD’s for better accuracy and quality parameters.

1991-92

Perforated Veneer Tapes

Perforated Veneer Tapes for Plywood developed.

1997

Starch based adhesive

New generation starch based adhesive developed to replace Technical Gelatin as the base for adhesives.

2000

Core Veneer splicing

Developed Very High Tack Veneer Tape for Core Veneer splicing in Plywood Industries which replaced the use of staple pins in Core Veneer splicing.

2007-09

Multi- Coating head

Addition of Second coating line of 1200mm width with Multi-Coating head. Two – five drive Centre Surface slitters installed.

2012

Vegetable starch

Vegetable starch based adhesive system improved adding to non-curling property to the Gum Paper Tapes.

2015

Printed Gummed Paper Edge/End Tapes

Developed High tack Printed Gummed Paper Edge/End Tapes for Gypsum and Cement Board Industries.

2019-20

Water Activated & Self Adhesive Reinforced Gum Paper Tapes, for the FIRST time in India

In process of installing “State of Art – SCADA operated” Third Coating line for manufacturing of Water Activated & Self Adhesive Reinforced Gum Paper Tapes, for the FIRST time in India.
